This boat has been sitting outside all winter like this, they put it out for sale in the fall.
W hy? Who in their right mind is going to buy it?

Yikes. How much are they asking for it?

As I non-boat person, I’d assume boats are supposed to get wet, so it shouldn’t be so bad for it?
Of course I wouldn’t buy that boat anyway, because it looks beat, and even more because if I bought a boat, something sail powered has much more aesthetic appeal.

boats are supposed to get wet... on the outside. Inside it is preferred they stay dry. Upholstery . Electronics. Wood trim. Engine bits.
This thing is a goner.

I’d have assumed that components on deck are supposed to be able to handle getting wet? Obviously cabin interiors would be different but this looks too small for that?

I have a neighbor with a boat with pretty much same patina.
We moved in 4 years ago. That boat was there with a tarp over it. Tarp might as well not be there. Giant holes in it. I am sure the water is pooled up inside the hull.
I spoke with a neighbor. She told me they just dropped 10K rebuilding the engines on that boat.
That means they would want at least 10k for it. CP all day and night.

Clearly it’s well cared for.

To the rear of the windshield is the steering wheel. Right around there are usually steps to go below for sleeping quarters. This boat here is probably big enough to have a bed down there.
I am not a boat person either. I have been on a few in my day though. The repairs would cost a lot more than the boat. And for that reason I’m out

Wet, but not water logged. This is a good way to make sure the deck is rotted and maybe the transom as well. Never mind the fact that the engine is probably encased in ice.

It looks like it might have a small day cabin forward. Most likely, it's flooded with rainwater at this point.

Getting a little spray? Yes.
Sitting submerged in snow for 5 months? Nope. There’s a reason why boats have covers, and are often shrink wrapped for winter storage.

I don’t know, I haven’t inquired nor looked close enough at the sign to see if it even says. I imagine they are the type of people who paid $5000 for it and won’t take a cent less even though it no longer runs and has been left outside uncovered all winter.

And it’s clearly worth whatever they paid for it 7 years ago.

This is a clear indication of how they took care of it.

I’m pretty sure it’s a bow rider...this would be a very small boat for a cuddy cabin it’s probably 18-20ft. Our boat has a cuddy and it’s about as small as you’d want to have and it’s 24ft

Eh...it’s only 18-20 ft, you’ll find very very few boats that size with a cuddy cabin.
I am not a boat person either.
Ah, gotcha. Lol. :)
